Florida's real estate license is mutually recognized by Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky,
Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Indiana and Tennessee. If you are living in one of those states and have an active
license, you can receive an equivalent (Broker or Sales Associate) Florida license by passing a 40-question test on
Florida real estate law. If you have moved for Florida, you must take a pre-license course.
If you are living in Florida and have a license from any other state, you may have the option of taking either a
Sales Associate or Broker Pre-License Course. Your license must have been active for at least 24 months within
the last 60 months. Special requirements are involved, so you'll want to call the Division of Real Estate at
(850) 487-1395.
