  1. At the school on the first day of class, we provide the application. Florida law requires all real estate sales associate and broker applicants to have fingerprints done electronically. Electronic fingerprinting can be reserved from PearsonVUE, Inc. and the $56.25 fee paid for through www.pearsonvue.com or by calling (888) 274-2020. Make a copy of the application. Mail the original "certified - return receipt", along with a check or money order for the application fee. The address will be on the front of the form.

If you want to get this process done on your own before our class starts, follow one of the two remaining options. Both have several steps!

State License Information
Real estate Brokers and Sales Associates in Florida are licensed through the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Real Estate. Their website is at www.myfloridalicense.com.
Before you schedule the State Exam, you must apply to the state.

The $31.50 fee to take the State Exam must be paid when you call the testing company to schedule your test. Credit card or check can be approved electronically during your call. Payment is not accepted at the test center.
Florida's real estate license is mutually recognized by Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Indiana and Tennessee. If you are living in one of those states and have an active license, you can receive an equivalent (Broker or Sales Associate) Florida license by passing a 40-question test on Florida real estate law. If you have moved for Florda, you must take a pre-license course.

If you are living in Florida and have a license from any other state, you may have the option of taking either a Sales Associate or Broker Pre-License Course. Your license must have been active for at least 12 months within the last 60 months. Special requirements are involved, so you'll want to call the Division of Real Estate at (850) 487-1395.
